Monday 23rd  December Working from home on my apprenticeship as per otj training record. Wednesday 25th Dec - Thursday 26th December Christmas holidays Friday 27th December Today I have been working from home as our building is closed for the Christmas break. I have been allocated UC pfd's in anite for me to assess.  Some are for changes in income on already active CTR claims but the majority of them are for new claims who don't match up to any person or address already on our system.  For these I have had to check council tax records for the address of the UC claim to make sure this person is liable to pay Council Tax. I have then created the person and the new claim on the Northgate system.  Some I have been able to process as we have their UC income details. For the new UC claims, where payment is yet to be made I have pended them to check in a few weeks.

Monday 16th December Apprentice study day - work as per otj record. Wednesday 18th December Today I have been working from an allocated spreadsheet, focusing on atlas updates for changes in income and a lot of address updates for people who did not have active claims. Linked to these address updates were then new CTR claims through UC atlas. Thursday 19th December Today I have been working through allocated work in images.  I have dealt with two new claims for housing benefit, for supported accommodation.  For both of these claims I have had to email the housing provider to request licence agreements and proof of ID and income for the claimants.  I dealt with a claimant who's tax credits had ended.  I emailed her to ask for an update on her circumstances. She then rang me and stated that she wasn't aware her tax credits had been stopped. I advised her to contact them asap, I could see on her previous notes that a fraudulent claim for UC had been made in he...

09/12/19 - 15/12/19

Monday 9th December At home doing off the job training as per otj record sheet Wednesday 11th December Today I have been working through a spreadsheet with allocated work on for Atlas processing.  This weeks work consisted of changes in DWP income for claimants such as carers allowance and notifications for the end of Income Support and JSA.  For two of these, the claimants had been awarded Working Tax Credits due to starting work.  I find this strange when Universal Credit is supposed to have replaced these for all new claims.   I have been able to write out to the claimants to check if they qualify for an extended benefit payment. Thursday 12th December Today I have been processing Universal Credit changes in income for CTR claims. We are no longer being allocated these by a spreadsheet.  The DWP documents are now being produced in Anite as a PDF.  When we receive a PDF there should be a matching atlas update on Northgate to process. Friday 13...

02/12/19-08/12/19

Monday 2nd December Off the job training day. Details of work covered are on my OTJ training record.  I  also completed 2 hours of benefits work to complete my full day.  Processing UC atlas for changes in income. Wednesday 4th December Today I was working through a spreadsheet, allocated to provide details of Atlas notifications that required updating.  These were related in changes of circumstances for claimants income, address updates and a death notification. Thursday 5th December Today I have been processing work from my tray in Anite.  Catching up on matched and expired pending work.  This involved completing processes for changes in claims that the requested information had been provided for and also suspending a couple of claims, where the information hadn't been provided, then writing out and informing the claimant of this. I also had my 10 week review meeting with Sandeep.  I found this helpful as I was updated on how my progress w...

25/11/19-01/12/2019

Monday 25th November Today I was home working, doing my off the job training hours. Work done as per the training record. I have also spent a couple of hours working through the allocated spreadsheet for UC atlas work. Wednesday 27th November Today didn't start off too well. Firstly I arrived at work and realised I had left my laptop at home and then when I returned to the office someone had taken my car park space! The systems were also playing up today so it took some time to access Northgate and the phone system.  After a late start I worked through an allocated spreadsheet of Atlas notifications, mainly for changes of addresses and tax credit terminations due to the claims for Universal Credit being made. I worked later than usual today, due to my late start. Thursday 28th November Today I completed some VEP tasks, retrieving real time information for wages, on randomly selected National Insurance Numbers.  I looked at three different claims and updated the wages...
