Monday 9th December

At home doing off the job training as per otj record sheet

Wednesday 11th December

Today I have been working through a spreadsheet with allocated work on for Atlas processing.  This weeks work consisted of changes in DWP income for claimants such as carers allowance and notifications for the end of Income Support and JSA.  For two of these, the claimants had been awarded Working Tax Credits due to starting work.  I find this strange when Universal Credit is supposed to have replaced these for all new claims.   I have been able to write out to the claimants to check if they qualify for an extended benefit payment.

Thursday 12th December

Today I have been processing Universal Credit changes in income for CTR claims. We are no longer being allocated these by a spreadsheet.  The DWP documents are now being produced in Anite as a PDF.  When we receive a PDF there should be a matching atlas update on Northgate to process.

Friday 13th December

Today I have been working through my matched and expired pending work to try and clear the backlog that has built up.  Making final decisions on claims where the requested information has been provided.  Today I also received a new CTR claim for a vulnerable person, who was being supported by Huddersfield Mission, homeless charity. The notes on the claim confirmed this person was unable to read written English.  I needed further information to support his claim so I contacted the Mission and managed to track down his support worker, as no details had been provided on the claim.  I then was able to explain to him what was required and he advised that the claimant was due into the Mission at some point next week so he would help him to provide the information

  1. How have you reacted to the change in working processes from receiving the work via spreadsheet to the new PDF format? This could potentially be a good example of B2 (change and improvement)
